DJ Services

 

Our Equipment

 

We have invested thousands of dollars in sound systems, music, and computers to bring the best to our customers. Below is a list of our equipment for you to get a good idea of what we have and what we can do.

What We Do

 

Any event we do beings with a phone call or an email. We set up a time to meet with you in person and go over all the details of your event. For example, if you are having a wedding we will go over the type of music you expect us to play, as well as the exact songs you want to be played for the entrance of the wedding party, the entrance of the bride and groom, the cutting of the cake, the bride and groom's first dance, the bouquet toss, the garter toss, and so on. We are very careful to make sure you are in control -- we are here to serve your interests. When everything is drawn up and the deposit is paid, your date is reserved. Between our meeting and the event, we build your playlist and prepare our equipment.

We will arrive at the location approximately one hour before it starts to set up our equipment and begin playing the music as people are coming in. We will set up wherever you want us -- our equipment is quite compact and can take up as little or as much space as you require. We have black tablecloths as well as a black banner with our logo. We will be wearing black shirts (polo or dress shirts as the occasion may require), and slacks.

We also provide the MC services at any event they are needed. MC stands for "Master of Ceremonies" -- we have our own microphones and can make announcements, introduce people, and direct the course of the event if needed. MC services are especially important at wedding receptions/dinners, and may be completely unnecessary at other events. We do not charge extra for MC services.

At the end of the event we take down quickly and leave. Payment is expected anytime during the event.

 

Events

 

Our most-requested appearances are typically at wedding receptions, church and community dances, and family reunions. We have also appeared at many East Texas high school proms, band banquets, and formals throughout the years, providing both the music and the MC services. Please don't hesitate to contact us and ask about your upcoming event. While the events we have listed are common to us, we do not exclude other possibilities.

4 hours +.......................................$100/hour

Additional Fees............................Travel fee $50/hour

 

Packages

 

You have the option of bundling multiple MJS services into a package for your event. It is not possible to give a set rate for package discounts due to the multiple scenarios we come across. But you are guaranteed a $50 discount off DJ Services should you choose to bundle one or more additional service(s).

What We Do

 

Of all the services we offer at MJS, our Video Services are the most comprehensive. A more accurate term may be multimedia services. Along with the professional videography, we also offer video and photo editing, slideshow/montage production, scanning and digitalization of photographs and videos, graphic design services, biographical videos, and promotional videos.

The process with our video services is similar to our DJ services. The first step is to contact us either through the website, email, or phone. We will get the basic information from you and schedule a face-to-face meeting if necessary. For videography, you will specify the time and location of your event, as well as how long you want us there. You will also specify what kind of package deal you'd like to take. The deposit is paid at the signing of the agreement.

For services other than videography, the process may be more personal. If you have photos or videos you need scanned and digitalized, we would need to meet in person to go over specifics as well as to take care of the safe delivery of the items. Events

 

We have shot video at many different events. Weddings, reunions, dance performances, concerts, parties, just to name a few. Our availability is not limited to these events. If you have a question about our availability at your event, please don't hesitate to call us.

 

Rates

 

Videography -- Non-Package rates: $100/hour on-location | $50/hour travel time | $25/DVD copy | $50/hour video editing

Videography -- Package rates: There are four event videography packages offered by MJS.

Basic Package: $400 | 1 camera | Up to 2 hours of filming | Unedited, raw video files burned to DVD | 1 free copy of DVD, additional copies $25

Premium Package: $700 | 2 cameras | Up to 3 hours of filming | Footage edited and burned to DVD | 2 free copies of DVD, additional copies $25

Deluxe Package: $1,000 | 2 cameras | Up to 4 hours of filming | Footage edited and burned to DVD | 1 additional feature of your choice included (slideshow, music video, etc.) | 2 free copies of DVD, additional copies $25

Platinum Package: $1,200 | 3 cameras | Up to 5 hours of filming | Footage edited and burned to DVD | 2 additional features of your choice included | 5 free copies of DVD, additional copies $25

 

Scanning/Digitalization: $1.00/photo | $50/videotape

Graphic Design: $50/hour

Video/Photo editing: $50/hour, in addition to scanning and/or video conversion charges

Slideshows/Montages/Biographical Videos: $50/hour, in addition to scanning and/or video conversion charges and on-location videography charges

 

 

 

Ballroom Dance Instruction

 

 

 

What We Do

 

Brenda Judkins is the main dance instructor at MJS. Our private studio holds up to eight couples at a time. The studio is used primarily for private dance lessons with one couple or one dancer at time, as well as group lessons. Brenda also travels around the East Texas area to teach at schools, including private schools such as Christian Heritage. She has also taught at the Longview Wellness Center, and is currently teaching an accredited beginning ballroom course at Kilgore College. Another popular service is wedding dances. Brenda is an expert at helping to prepare brides and grooms, as well as their parents, for a wedding dance in four lessons or less. When all is said and done, our dance instruction services are about helping people to learn to have

 

Events

 

Events we teach ballroom dance for include weddings, reunions, competitions, large or small scale performances, and more. MJS choreographed 3 dances for the 2011 Texas Youth Jubilee in Garland, Texas, which featured nearly 2,000 high school student performers from the Dallas area, East Texas, and Oklahoma.

 

Rates

 

Private lesson (up to 2 couples)....................$75/hour which can be split up by couples.

Groups lesson (3 or more couples)....................$50/person for 4 lessons (one night a week)

Wedding dances.............................$75/hour, minimum of 4 lessons

Our rates INCLUDE copies of finished CD. For label and jacket designs, our rates for graphic design are $50/hour.
